The Purpose Driven God

Jul 12, 2026    Pastor Mark England

"I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'" — Isaiah 46:10

What if the move of God you keep praying for isn't waiting on God at all — but on you? In 1904, a 26-year-old Welsh coal miner prayed one sentence: "O God, bend me." Within six months, 100,000 people were saved, drunkenness convictions in his county were cut nearly in half, and judges arrived to empty courtrooms with no cases to try. That isn't a good church service — that's an entire nation rewritten.

In Part 1 of Purpose Unleashed, Pastor Mark sets the burning bush of Exodus 3 against a promise God made 400 years earlier in Genesis 15 to reveal a God who is never reacting — He is executing. Drawing from Isaiah 46, Psalm 33, and Ephesians 2, you'll see why a move of God happens when God's purpose meets God's person, why the wilderness generation was disqualified not by their past but by their fear of the future, and how to stop asking God to move for you and start letting Him move through you.
