The Rising Church is a brand new church plant, recently birthed in Gunnison, Colorado! Miracle upon miracle, God has faithfully provided and has been building The Rising from the ground up!
OUR STORY
With 3 young children (under the age of 6) in tow, our pastors, Mark and Joy, arrived as missionaries in 2021 with great vision, energy, and faith to begin the monumental task of completely renovating our 3-story building and to begin building relationships to form what is now known as The Rising Church. Worship and prayer on Sunday nights at "The Well" drew hearts from the valley with anticipation of what God had in store for this new gathering. Only three people remained here from the previous church, but eager and full of faith for a resurrection of the church. With great faith and partnership, many hours of muscle, work days, worship, and prayer.... TRC opened its doors on Easter Sunday 2023 with a full house!
OUR MISSION
In our first few years as a new church, we have continued devotion to our mission to lead people to ENCOUNTER and relationally experience God through His Word, worship, and prayer. To EQUIP believers for victory in life through Jesus Christ and application of His Word. And to intentionally seek opportunities to take Christ's love out into the world to touch the hearts of others, making new disciples of Christ, bringing relief, restoration, and IMPACT. The Rising is alive and on mission, and can regularly be seen in town reaching out through events & local outreaches to draw the hearts in our valley to God with the love of Christ (Easter in the Park, HopeFest, The July 4th Kids Zone, Laundry Love, Outdoor Movie Nights, Cattlemen's Day Parade, Baptisms in the Blue Mesa, & Worship Nights...to name a few!)

The Rising Church is a living testimony of God's Spirit at work, healing lives, restoring vision, and moving in great power and provision! It's been nothing short of miraculous to witness the faithfulness of the Lord in birthing a thriving, life-giving new fellowship of believers called The Rising Church
right here in the Gunnison valley!
